摘要: Abstract Rh metal was supported on alumina and silica supports the particle size varied (from 1 to 5 nm) by changing loading from 0.15 7.2 μmoles of Rh/m2 support. Metal sizes were determined transmission electron microscopy. Hydrogenolysis n-butane used as a probe reaction. The ethane selectivity highly dispersed very different that low index single crystal surfaces Rh. As increased, catalysts approached (111), annealing at 773 K led better agreement between Rh(111). None after initial H2 reduction resembled (100) or (110) in their hydrogenolysis selectivity. However, preoxidation before reaction did cause approach more open surfaces. results show changes surface structure caused do not resemble those size.
