摘要: a,bPurpose of reviewDespite the controversy over use seclusion andrestraint, these measures are commonly used to treat andmanage disruptive and violent behaviour. This reviewsummarizes recent research on taken reduce their use.Recent findingsLately, prominent international recommendations haveaimed restrict restraint, andreminded that they should only be in exceptionalcases, where there no other means remedying thesituation under supervision a doctor. The ofseclusion restraint has remained prevalent, but thereare serveral innovative programmes have succeeded incontrolling reducing use. Staff attitudes aboutseclusion changed little last fewyears.SummaryThere is need for novel methods violence thethreat psychiatric wards.
