摘要: There is overwhelming evidence that many local-scale human activities (e.g. fishing) have a deleterious effect on coral reef fish assemblages. Our understanding of how broad social phenomena socioeconomic development) affect the diversity and function assemblages however, still poor. Here, we use structural equation models to reveal population density, development, market access fishing pressure cover to, in turn, explain biomass key functional groups within Solomon Islands. Fishing predominantly driven by both local has clear negative fishes. The strong positive makes importance social-ecological linkages context increasingly connected societies. This study highlights need address rather than focusing proximate threats such as pressure, ensure continued flow goods services this time rapid global environmental change.
