摘要: Both buildings and datacenters have emerged as critical resources for demand response, especially emergency response (EDR) that helps avoid cascading failures during events. Nonetheless, although the majority of are physically located in mixed-use (MUBs) share main electrical power line with other operation (e.g., office) same MUB, existing studies on by been largely isolated to date resulted uncoordinated energy management: research building treats datacenter "miscellaneous loads", whereas considers dedicated datacenters. To overcome uncoordination between non-datacenter operation, we propose a first-of-its-kind coordinated approach enabling EDR MUBs, such total incurred loss latency performance degradation datacenter, thermal discomfort is minimized shedding EDR. We present distributed management (DCEM) solution can optimally control indoor temperature non- space, server provisioning load balancing usage diesel generation. also conduct case study validate our results show DCEM reduce MUB cost up 41 % compared standard using only backup genearator.
