摘要: This study examines photographic images of children with discernible disabilities in a popular children's sports magazine, Sports Illustrated for Kids (SIK). Specifically, this looks at the number and types disability presented SIK over three-year period, from July 1996 (just before Paralympic Games Atlanta, Ga.) to June 1999. The objective is assess how magazine presents its young, impressionable readers. Because has high circulation among readers who are especially susceptible power photographs, it important transmitted pages. These could be significant formation disabled non-disabled attitudes toward disability.
