摘要: Abstract Protected areas are one of the main tools for restoration degraded ecosystems and conservation biodiversity. The lessons learned from failure or success plans can be used to improve ecosystem projects. This study examines ecological social acceptance Khabr National Park, Iran. Ecologically, vertical horizontal structures different functions plant communities were investigated using criteria. Socially, protected area was assessed through interviews questionnaires. results showed that successful in structure, especially at 0−1 m height class. Different vegetation types a significant improvement total function inside compared outside (1.6–4.6 times). Social survey locals nomadic pastorals (86 %) had less upbeat view establishment. There negative correlation between income dependency upon rangelands positive views protection. A majority farmers (55 %), who financially dependent on ecosystems, area. Local people called amending laws related areas, ones prohibiting livestock grazing (over 70 %). ecologically successful, but it has failed socially not accepted by locals. Therefore, should involved strategic planning phase legislative framework concerning management use adjusted based their socio-economic status.
