摘要: Phycoremediation is an eco-friendly, emerging and economically feasible technique for the removal of heavy metals from environment. In this study, bioremediation potential cyanobacterium Arthrospira platensis was explored by treating it with various concentrations chromium(VI) (0.01, 0.05 0.1 mM) as well tannery effluent containing Cr. grown in Zarrouk's medium (pH 9.5) at room temperature. The effect Cr(VI) on A. studied via biochemical parameters (chlorophyll, protein), physicochemical (total solids, total dissolved suspended solids) analytical (Fourier transform IR (FTIR), atomic absorption spectroscopy). results indicated that had a maximum adsorption 98.5% reduction 73.5% against Cr(VI). FTIR analysis revealed there interaction These findings suggest can be used phycoremediation industrial effluents contaminated
