摘要: A tactile display on the back of a smartwatch is an attractive output option; however, its channel capacity limited owing to small contact area. In order expand capacity, we considered using two perceptually distinct types stimuli, wind and vibration, together same skin The result multimodal that combines vibration create "colored" sensations wrist. As first step toward this goal, conducted in study four user experiments with wind-vibration examine different ways combining vibration: Individual, Sequential, Simultaneous. results revealed sequential combination exhibit highest potential, information transfer 3.29 bits. particular, transition modality was perceived at accuracy 98.52%. current confirm feasibility potential vibration.
