摘要: Purpose The International Myopia Institute (IMI) Yearly Digest highlights new research considered to be of importance since the publication first series IMI white papers. Methods A literature search was conducted for articles on myopia between 2019 and mid-2020 inform definitions classifications, experimental models, genetics, interventions, clinical trials, management. Conference abstracts from key meetings in same period were also considered. Results One thousand have been published mid-2020. Key advances include use definition premyopia studies currently under way test interventions myopia, field pathologic role pharmacologic treatments models such as intraocular pressure-lowering latanoprost, a large meta-analysis refractive error identifying 336 genetic loci, defocus incorporated multisegment spectacles combination therapy with low-dose atropine orthokeratology (OK), normative standards error, ethical dilemma placebo control group when are established, reporting physical metric reduction versus percentage reduction, comparison risk pediatric OK wear vision impairment justification preventing myopic axial length increase quality life, future loss. Conclusions Large amounts papers released. yearly digest serves highlight latest myopia.
