摘要: Cloning of the steroid receptors has demonstrated that they belong to a family transcription factors contain highly conserved “zinc finger” motif responsible for DNA binding (1). Using probes this domain, large number have been cloned, creating superfamily factors. Among cloned are those classic hormones (glucocorticoid, progesterone, estrogen, aldosterone, and androgen) related (thyroid, vitamin D3, retinoic acid). Additionally, approximately 10 (published) 15 (unpublished) identified whose functions remain unknown (2). These strong homology receptors, thus specific ligands predicted. new termed “orphan receptors” (2) in search ligand with function.
