摘要: Fifty-nine normal dogs, ranging in age from 6 weeks to 132 months were examined with contact specular microscopy determine the relationship of corneal endothelial cell density, morphology, and thickness. Canine cells appear quite similar those other species studied, including man. The hexagonally shaped canine tend enlarge age, population young animals averaging around 2500 cells/mm2 number older dogs being frequently below 2100 cells/mm2. A significant increase thickness was observed age. Healthy maintain a functional monolayer by enlargement migration represent reasonable model for future study.
