摘要: Abstract Among 102,170 cultured lymphocytes obtained from 9818 individuals Hiroshima, Japan, aged 9 to 37 years and scored for chromosomal abnormalities, 24 cells that exhibited an extreme degree of damage were encountered. The consists multiple dicentric even tricentric chromosomes, as well numerous fragments, many with the appearance "double minutes." occurrence these was not correlated parental exposure atomic bomb, age, sex, year, or season. They nonrandomly distributed by individual. Such originally described in South American Indians have also been recorded inhabitants United States Kingdom; this appears be a world-wide phenomenon. Their cause remains unknown, it is known whether they occur other somatic germ-line cells. Should latter case should least damaged occasionally successfully complete mitosis meiosis, possible role such oncogenesis evolution must considered.
