摘要: Palm oil is considered as the primary source of income for many farmers in Southeast Asia and become a very important agricultural commodity Malaysian economy recent years. Besides its main usage cooking oil, it also exported to be used commercial foods personal care products, well biofuels productions (Wong et al. The purpose this research identify potential (implications on workers local community) throughout whole life cycle palm production using Social Life Cycle Assessment (S-LCA) methodology. methodology study consisted several steps framework (LCA) study. involved were goal scope definition, Inventory (LCI) analysis, Impact (LCIA), interpretation. In order acquire information from these stakeholders, two sets questionnaires constructed based subcategories proposed by UNEP (2009). results showed exhibited high value satisfaction regarding benefits conferred upon them such annual leave, panel clinic, Employees Provident Fund (EPF), Security Organization (SOCSO) scheme, public holidays. Meanwhile, level community different according specific categories. For instance, small percentage exists among industry heritage cultural conservation. Findings S-LCA analysis positive still met required criteria terms significance who direct contact community.
