摘要: Rodents, globally overpopulated, are an important source for zoonotic disease transmission to humans, including Enterocytozoon bieneusi (one of the most prevalent pathogens). Here, we studied prevalence and performed genetic analyses E. in rodents from Hainan Province China. A total 603 fresh fecal samples were gathered 369 wild rats, 117 bamboo 93 Asiatic brush-tailed porcupine 24 red-bellied squirrels. The rats identified species level by amplification a 421-bp region cytb gene DNA using PCR. Genotype analysis was internal transcribed spacer (ITS) rDNA Seven rat identified. average rate infection with 15.8% (95/603) 18.7% (69/369) 11.9% (25/210) farmed 4.2% (1/24) Sixteen genotypes identified, 9 known (D, Type IV, PigEBITS7, Peru8, Peru11, ESH02, S7, EbpA CHG5), 7 novel (HNR-I HNR-VII). D (44.2%, 42/95) predominated, followed PigEBITS7 (20.0%, 19/95), HNR-VII (15.8%, 15/95), IV (5.3%, 5/95), HNR-III (2.1%, 2/95), HNR-VI 2/95) each remaining 10 (1.1%, 1/95). phylogenetic ITS divided into following four groups: Group 1 (n = 13), 2 1), 12 13 1). To our knowledge, this is first report on identification Hainan, potential suggested that poses serious threat local inhabitants. Thus, measures need be taken control population areas investigated study, along safe methods disposal rodent feces. Additionally, people should made aware risk humans.
