摘要: Abstract The “Petlyuk” or “dividing-wall” “fully thermally coupled” distillation column is an interesting alternative to the conventional cascaded binary columns for separation of multi-component mixtures. However, industrial use has been limited, and difficulties in operation have reported as one reason. With three product compositions controlled, system two degrees freedom left on-line optimization. We show that steady-state optimal solution surface quite narrow, depends strongly on disturbances design parameters. Thus it seems difficult achieve potential energy savings compared approaches without a good control strategy. discuss candidate variables which may be used feedback order keep close “self-optimizing” scheme.
