摘要: This paper investigates the hypothesis that World Wide Web (WWW) presents a new opportunity to interactively present and disseminate curricula. The WWW appears have flexibility needed let students order material choose presentation format best suit their preference. objective of this is twofold: develop general web-lecture structure provides such flexibility, compare its efficacy with classroom style lecture. average grade performance receiving web instruction was higher than for those traditional instruction. An achieved significance level 0.063 reasonably strong evidence reject two groups performed equally. Analysis use patterns revealed web-group spent roughly same amount time on-line as group in lecture. However, typically covered materials three short 30 minute sessions opposed one 90 Different showed different preferences either video or text-with-image materials. In focus group, indicated they valued ability pace learning review needed. positive results preliminary study raise question how teaching could change exploit information technology provide more effective economical engineering education. Primary might take place individually through medium WWW, thus liberating experiential activities.
