摘要: The effect of adhesive tape and dressing removal on skin integrity is particularly important for patients who have increased risk damage or impaired physiological responses to trauma. Visual observation erythema does not always provide an adequate assessment acute injury; detection trauma limited by the naturally occurring wide range color tones. This study had two purposes: (1) assess sensitivity objectivity laser-Doppler perfusion imaging (LDI) in measuring blood forearm before after strips (2) determine relationship between levels adhesive-strip peel force required remove strips. Variations peel-force were obtained ways: first, from differences; second, using remover product (ARP) developed reduce In 10 subjects, acrylic (13 x 70 mm) placed pairs standardized sites both volar forearms peeled off 24 hours later at a constant velocity 5 mm/sec while was recorded. During peeling, ARP used with one strip; nothing adjacent paired strip (CONTROL). Skin measured 20 minutes non-contact LDI under CONTROL conditions simultaneously. Results show that hyperemia linearly related (r2 = 0.55, p < .01): use ARP, as indexed hyperemic response, significantly reduces (1.02 [SD 0.11] versus 1.47 0.11], .01) mean CONTROL/ARP ratio 1.56; (3) reduced ARP. These findings indicate useful, sensitive tool reducing forces has positive effect.
