摘要: Wheelchair athletes are susceptible to injuries related overuse of the shoulder, in particular shoulder impingement syndrome. The present study examined relationship pain demographic details, isokinetic strength and muscle balance 8 elite quadriplegic rugby players. Demographic data were collected using personal interviews each subject was clinically for signs syndrome by a physician. In addition underwent bilateral testing at 60 180 deg/s abduction/adduction internal/external rotation. A series step-wise multiple discriminant analysis successfully predicted clinical symptoms from demographic, muscular data. particular, there significant deficit adductor this wasting scapular muscles. This may be due high level spinal lesions population. lesion contribute aetiology pathology quadriplegia, differentiate it that observed able-bodied who exhibit weak abductors.
