摘要: Purpose Chronic osteomyelitis is a surgical disease that require significant dedication from surgeons to eradicate. Osteomyelitis can result variety of etiologies but most often consequence trauma (open fractures) long bone. This type includes secondary contiguous focus infection (after and its treatment: osteosynthesis). Here we are reporting one case post-traumatic chronic the humerus. Patients methods A 34-years-old man presented with due an open fractur diaphysis We proposed one-step treatment, including fistulectomy, sequestrectomy, opening proximal distal intramedullary canal. Antimicrobial therapy should be followed by close observation treatment appropriate antibiotics. Results clinical control at 30 days intervention revealed that: no secretion; negative cultured exam; second-intention healing skin. Conclusions Treatment requires isolation pathogens, debridement for removal all infective necrotic material, both bone origin soft-tissue one. Is necessary not foci: in this way leave external drainage, which able provide tissues sterilization secretion drainage effects systemic antimicrobial therapy. Our results indicate long-term problem solved one-stage procedure spontaneous second- skin defects, excluding bony soft tissue reconstruction.
