摘要: Older patients with dementia and delirium are more prone to adverse events in hospital, but formal cognitive assessment identify these vulnerable on admission is often not carried out by junior doctors. A smartphone app was created provided hospital wards facilitate the use of standard assessments for dementia. Before introduction app, 36% over 75 years old were assessed cognitively. After percentage improved 63%. Improvements most marked after individual teaching doctors making available ward tablets. The results study suggest that a can improve performance older people.
