摘要: Ovarian cancer is a highly metastatic disease and has the highest mortality rate of all gynecological tumors. In contrast to many other types that metastasize through lymphatics and/or hematogenous routes, ovarian metastasizes by peritoneal dissemination, which relies on ability cells detach from primary tumor, adhere to, eventually invade peritoneum. This involves dynamic changes in cell-cell adhesion, primarily mediated cell surface receptors known as cadherins. this review, we will describe unique profiles cadherins with their associated signal molecules, catenins, roles these adhesion molecules development, tumor progression, formation ascites. We discuss how perform functions link variety signaling pathways. Finally, review recent findings regarding potential new therapeutic targets treatment cancer.
