摘要: This paper presents a case study of the chromosomal complement 16 miceMus musculus domesticus Linnaeus, 1758 from region near one most recent disastrous earthquakes in Italy (named Umbria-Marche 1997), with aim examining variability among mice seismically active zones. For present investigation, sampling sites were chosen vicinity some faults, supposedly main earthquake generators area. In three localities, that lie approximately on fault lines, reduced number (2n = 36 to 39) trapped. reduction is due presence different Robertsonian metacentrics — Rb(9.14), Rb(10.12) and Rb(15.17) both homozygous heterozygous states. Mice trapped four localities more distant zone only had standard karyotype 40). These results increase need analyze detail distribution karyotypes relation faults.
