摘要: By analyzing the ferromagnetic resonance linewidth, we show that Gilbert damping constant in soft magnetic Fe thin films can be enhanced by ∼6 times with Gd doping of up to 20%. At same time, easy axis remains film plane while coercivity is strongly reduced after inclusion. X-ray circular dichroism measurements reveal a strong increase orbital-to-spin moment ratio increasing concentration, full agreement obtained for these films. Combined x-ray diffraction and vibrating sample magnetometry, results demonstrate FeGd dilute 20% are promising candidates spin-transfer-torque applications devices, which an required.
