摘要: It is becoming increasingly clear that plants ranging across the plant kingdom produce anionic host defence peptides (AHDPs) with potent activity against a wide variety of human cancers cells. In general, this involves membrane partitioning by AHDPs, which leads to membranolysis and / or internalization attack intracellular targets such as DNA. Several models have been proposed describe these events including: toroidal pore Shai-Matsuzaki-Huang mechanisms but, in underpinning interactions anticancer are poorly understood. Plant AHDPs can be conveniently discussed reference two groups: cyclotides, possess cyclic molecules stabilized cysteine knot motifs, other ADHPs adopt extended α-helical conformations. Here, we review research into action groups along current understanding action.
