Consequences of radiation from sorbed transplutonium elements on clays selected for waste isolation

摘要: Initial results of experiments with /sup 253/Es--clay mixtures are reported. Although the 253/Es radiation destroyed clay structures, distribution ratios did not drop drastically time but in fact increased slightly. It is concluded that clays can be used as sorptive material for trivalent actinides. (DLC)
