摘要: Introduction The effect of tiredness has been proved for the surgeons' musculature performing laparoscopic or robotic procedures (physical stress). Mental stress after surgery reported as well. It is still unclear how much surgical skills are altered and which types more affected at final steps long, complex procedures. Aim To evaluate to what extent surgeon's influenced by long procedures, using objective assessment different a virtual reality simulator. Material methods Fifteen surgeons were asked perform continuous 4 h simulator training session. At beginning end each training, three exercises increasing difficulty selected be performed in order assess skills. Results There statistically significant differences between initial overall scores all exercises, outcomes being inferior. specific metrics exercise slightly improved within 1 from thereafter decreased significantly inferior value. Conclusions on 4-hour console period. Further larger studies necessary translation real-life surgery.
