摘要: Although research into atopic dermatitis (AD) has been dominated by the study of cells and chemical mechanisms over last 40 years, 7 years witnessed a respectable growth within field AD epidemiology. Significant advances include valid disease definitions that can be used in epidemiological studies, global prevalence studies which quantify morbidity economic cost disease. These have all helped to argue case for more AD. Epidemiological demonstrating is commoner wealthier families, linkage with small family size, increased migrant groups, increasing strongly towards an important role environment determining expression. Future gaps evaluation gene-environment interactions, better natural history AD, clinical trials answer questions are physicians their patients.
