摘要: A new series of pyrimidine-requiring mutants Neurospora has been isolated and all enzymes involved in pyrimidine biosynthesis are represented by at least one mutant. Among these is included a single isolate for locus, pyr-6. This mutant deficient dihydroorotase (DHOase) represents the only enzymatic step orotate synthesis which no previously had found. mutant, mapped genetically on right arm linkage group V, unlinked to any other mutants. The DHOase-deficient also characterized an unexpected growth behavior. pyr-1 locus specifically associated with lack dihydroorotate dehydrogenase (DHOdehase). Mutants this loci have related allelism, recombination, accumulation studies.
