摘要: Abstract The Double-collared Seedeater (Sporophila caerulescens) is the most common seedeater in southern South America. Because information on its breeding biology mostly limited to descriptions of nests and eggs, I studied reproductive southeastern Brazil. found 41 active during seven seasons (1997–2003). Nesting occurred from December May. All incubation contained two eggs were laid consecutive days, started morning female last egg. Incubation nestling periods 12 12–15 respectively. Only females incubated eggs. Mean time spent incubating/hr was 52.3 min, recesses averaged 6.6 min.
