摘要: Body size determination requires a mechanism for sensing and linking information to the termination of growth. Although hormonal mechanisms that terminate growth are well elucidated, by which body senses its own only partially understood; most this understanding has come from study control insect moulting metamorphosis. We first review discuss advances in our physiological larvae sense their size. Second, we present new findings on how size-sensing been disrupted eventually (in size-independent manner). synthesize recent insights into genetic molecular ecdysteroid regulation Drosophila melanogaster with developmental physiology Manduca sexta, paving way an integrated regulation.
