摘要: Over a 15-month period 1,057 consecutive inductions of labour were performed representing 10% induction rate; 174 (16.5%) these patients delivered by Caesarean section which 74 (7.0%) for failed labour, 58 (5.5%) fetal distress, 19 (1.8%) cephalopelvic disproportion, 6 malposition and 17 other reasons. The mean cervical score at was 5.7 5.5 disproportion (CPD) respectively but 4.0 induction. dilatation the time cm 6.6 CPD whereas it 3.5 Mean maximum dose oxytocin 19.2 milliunits per minute (mu/min) 22.5 mu/min 24.7 cases Nulliparas with 3 or less had 65.4% rate more than two-thirds labour. Analysis indications revealed that fair number debatable obstetric indications. Tailoring to indication might reduce Rational management ensure an adequate sufficient in first stage is important. Failed may be differentiated from failure progress due malposition.
