摘要: Insertions, deletions, and inversions in the chloroplast genome of higher plants have been shown to be extremely useful for resolving phylogenetic relationships both between closely related taxa among more basal lineages. Introns intergenic spacers from are now increasingly used population genetic studies populations a single species, it is therefore interesting know whether indels can provide data hence increase power intraspecific studies. Here, we show that three cpDNA one intron two species Silene evolve at slightly rates than base pair substitutions. Repeat appear highest rate evolution thus prone homoplasy. We coded indel high information content analysis, infer level.
