Denitrification of ammonia and nitrate through supercritical water oxidation (SCWO): A study on the effect of NO3−/NH4+ ratios, catalysts and auxiliary fuels

摘要: Abstract Denitrification of ammonia and nitrate through SCWO has been investigated under a stable pressure 24 MPa, temperature reaction time 350–550 °C 0.5–6 min, respectively. The result showed that an appropriate ratio NO3−/NH4+ did facilitate TN removal, which resulted in the best 1:1. NO2−/NH4+ achieved better removal than NO3−/NH4+. catalysts, like Co2+, Zn2+, Cu2+ Fe3+, co-fuels, such as methanol, ethanol isopropyl alcohol, could play positive role on removal. results indicated highest degradation rate constant was found presence alcohol (IPA). distribution NO3− NH4+ concentration much higher ammonium, revealed conversion made major contribution to
