摘要: Abstract Background Transgender and gender diverse (TGD) individuals, especially veterans, experience elevated rates of non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI) suicide related behaviors compared to majority individuals. Research has yet compare TGD veterans non-veterans or look at correlates NSSI outcomes. This study examines prevalence among non-veterans. Method Data analyzed in the were part Trans Lifeline Mental Health Survey. Both (N = 313) (N = 3,972) completed an online, cross-sectional survey that included self-report measures NSSI, suicidal ideation (SI), attempt (SA) along with lifetime hospitalization avoidance care due NSSI. Results this paper indicate SI, SA are both non-veteran subpopulations. Further, have a lower but higher when self-harm is inflicted, reflecting more healthcare utilization increased severity episodes. Additionally, less likely avoid veteran status seemed be protective factor against demographic differences history Limitations The limitations include its design, one question assessing SA, few male veterans. Conclusion important risk future outcome such as SI SA. apparent.
