摘要: The primary aim of this study was to determine whether distinct gastrointestinal tract (GIT) microbial communities are established within ingesta and on mucosal surfaces dairy calves chickens evaluate the principle segregation is broad biological significance. Multivariate analysis predominant bacterial PCR-denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis profiles estimated populations were compared in rumen, jejunum, ileum, cecum, colon matching tissues. Samples collected from 3-week old (n = 8) 6-month revealed that mucosa-associated bacteria those inhabiting ingesta, diversity varied significantly among GIT regions. displayed significant regional differences for bovine (P = 0.05) (P = 0.03) only at 6 months age. This indicates an enteric population throughout weaned calves. Analysis ileal cecal confirmed commensal between tissue a common phenomenon. Our provides some fundamental understanding impact sample type (mucosa vs. ingesta), region, host age establishment GIT.
