E-government adoption in sub-Saharan Africa

摘要: Abstract Over the past decade, there has been increased interest in understanding underlying factors that influence adoption of e-government services using a variety technology acceptance models. One such model is unified electronic government (UMEGA), which validated as outperformed other The present study empirically tested UMEGA and an extended version it data from 282 respondents sub-Saharan African country, South Africa. findings show except for association effort expectancy with attitude, all hypothesized associations were supported. Also, performed better than original version, total variance explained attitudes modestly increasing behavioral intention improving also. We observed performance expectancy, social influence, perceived risk computer self-efficacy significantly influenced attitudes, while facilitating conditions, trust Internet had direct significant on intention. For researchers, this indicates need to adequately refine models use different context. These Africa also provide can consider when developing strategies services.
