摘要: In the international literature it is possible to find references of optimized refractory materials for lining circulating fluidized bed alumina calciners. However, unexpected failures these refractories are still relatively common, impacting in many ways results refineries. Due importance this subject, work addresses performance analysis a material which faced harsh operational conditions and resulted short life. “Post-mortem” techniques, “in situ” observation properties evaluation were used study materials’ behavior. Based on obtained results, discussion related better potential distinct presented, highlighting that based variety different features have, significant improvements calciner life can be attained.
