摘要: This paper presents an overview of natural fibre composites that contain epoxidized vegetable oil (EVO) based resins. An introduction to is given covering both the reinforcement and polymer matrix. Natural are discussed in detail with regards fibres themselves structure composition plant fibres. The synthesis EVO bioresins technical background oils, particular Australian oils presented. Performance limiting factors have been identified outlined. Key areas concern such as fibre-matrix interfacial bonding, biodegradation fibres, separation dispersion thermal instability covered. Current state-of-the-art research into fibre/EVO reviewed emphasis being placed on structural composites. Areas for future a focus characterisation made from novel discussed.
