摘要: Abstract The actions of three representative antihistaminics, tripelennamine (TPM), dipenhydramine (DPA), and ehlorpheniramine (CPA) on the electrical activity cat brain have been examined with aid power spectral density analysis. During slow intravenous infusion these drugs, DPA alone induced an increase in cortical synchrony but later desynchrony like that seen throughout infusions TPM CPA. Hippocampal theta (3.5–5 Hz) was by all 3 computer analysis delineated subtle differences patterns onset dominance suggesting a greater complexity hippocampal rhythms than previously reported. Bimodal range 1–2 3–4.5 Hz drugs reticular formation, thalamus cortex, hippocampus as well Total normalized approximated 100% TPM, while CPA values fluctuated reached final approximately 200% just prior to paroxysm. All epileptiform paroxysms followed hypersynchronous activity.
