Determination of molecular weight distribution of acid mucopolysaccharides by Sephadex gel filtration

摘要: Abstract A method has been developed for the determination of molecular weight distribution AMPS. Chondroitin sulfate was fractionated by gel filtration on Sephadex G-200 into bands narrow weights. The weights AMPS from widely separated were determined a combined diffusion-sedimentation coefficient method. Aliquots same preparations also subjected to 1.06 (i.d.) 86.0 cm column. It found that linear relationship exists between elution volume and log respective B, chondroitin C, heparitin follow relationship. Elution diagrams urinary three main variants Hurler syndrome are characteristically distinct each other they different obtained normal subjects. Heparitin portion B patients markedly degraded.
