摘要: Salmon and other anadromous fish are consumed by vertebrates with distinct life history strategies to capitalize on this ephemeral pulse of resource availability. Depending the timing salmon arrival, may be in surplus needs vertebrate consumers if, for instance, their populations limited food availability during times year. However, some enables more efficient exploitation these resources. Bears can deposit fat then hibernate avoid winter scarcity, highly mobile such as eagles, gulls, birds migrate access asynchronous pulses We used camera traps pink, chum, sockeye spawning grounds various run stream morphologies, individual carcasses, discern potentially different use patterns among consumers. Wildlife was heterogeneous. Ravens were only avian consumer that fed heavily pink small streams. Eagles gulls did not feed early runs streams, moderately at runs, but dominant late chum particularly expansive river flats. Brown bears all resources far than terrestrial vertebrates. Notably, black observed despite being most frequently roads trails. From a conservation management perspective, species morphologies extensively bears, year disproportionately important eagles seasonally
