摘要: A challenge for biomedical scientists today is to arrive at an understanding of cellular behavior on a global scale. The advent DNA microarrays has greatly facilitated discovery gene expression profiles associated with different states. problem signaling the level interacting proteins in some ways more challenging. Ashman et al. discuss current methods available studying protein interactions scale, as well directions future. Technical hurdles exist many stages, from isolation complexes, determination their composition, software and databases needed analyze results large-scale, high-throughput datasets. suggest that, advances technology cooperation among academia industry, interaction map that underlies will emerge essential resource basic applied research.
