摘要: Cardiovascular dysfunction (CD) in multiple sclerosis (MS) is related to involvement of reflex pathways the brainstem. The battery CD tests was applied a group 40 healthy subjects and patients with MS, divided 2 subgroups according expanded disability status scale (EDSS). included: 1) postural blood pressure changes, 2) heart rate 3) changes on inspiration/forced expiration 4) ECG R-R interval measurement Valsalva maneuver. Both groups were subjected functional independence (FIM). Imaging studies reviewed autonomic at other levels explored. results showed statistically significant difference (P < 0.05) all when comparing controls. Tests 1 4 had highest significance, findings more severe higher EDSS lower FIM. A correlation also found between brainstem lesions MRI 0.01). number MS evidence CD. Test may be considered simple marker, daily clinical practice, detect subclinical Subclinical cause this patients.
