摘要: Appetite, food intake, and energy balance are closely linked to the endocannabinoid system in central nervous system. Now, modulation has been discovered peripheral olfactory of larval Xenopus laevis. The 2-AG shown influence odorant-detection thresholds according hunger state animal. Hungry animals have increased levels due enhanced synthesis sustentacular supporting cells. This renders receptor neurons, exhibiting CB1 receptors, more sensitive at detecting lower odorant concentrations, which probably helps animal locate food. Since taste vision also influenced by endocannabinoids, this kind might boost sensory inputs hungry animals.
