摘要: Oculotrema hippopotami Stunkard is a monogenean that found around the nictitating membrane and under eyelids of hippopotamus. When specimens O. were collected from both eyes 42 hippopotamuses in Uganda, 90.5% to be infested. The maximum number parasites on one hippopotamus was 41, mean per 8.26. frequency distribution did not follow Poisson therefore considered non-random. Both mature small immature worms same eye, infection does immediately confer immunity host.
