Winter activity unrelated to introgression in British bumblebee Bombus terrestris audax

摘要: Bombus terrestris is a bumblebee with wide geographic range, subspecies showing variety of local adaptations. Global export commercially-reared B. started in the 1980s; bees are mixture bred for ease rearing, bivoltinism and large nests. This paper investigated whether increase UK resident audax populations was related to introgression imported foreign subspecies. Workers were collected from wild London Bristol, as well two commercial suppliers. Fourteen microsatellite loci used study population structure, hybridisation introgression.
