摘要: Abstract An innovative hydrophilic and anti-fouling coating material for application in membrane technology wastewater treatment has been developed by polymerization of a polymerizable bicontinuous microemulsion (PBM) used surface modification commercial flat polyethersulfone (PES) membrane. The novel nanostructured produced using acryloyloxyundecyltriethylammonium bromide (AUTEAB) as co-polymerizable surfactant, obtained through synthetic method characterized lower cost higher reproducibility compared to other known surfactants. composite membranes have with the uncoated PES membranes. Coated resulted smoother hydrophilicity respect ones, showed particular nano-size channel-like morphology making them highly resistant fouling phenomenon. covalent anchorage surfactant on ensured embedment molecule polymeric matrix avoiding its leaching also leading coated significant antimicrobial activity, which is very important reducing biofouling All these aspects make tailored an ideal efficient modifications surfaces, be processes treatment.
