摘要: This study focuses on the phenological behavior of Neobalanocarpus heimii, a tree species with high reputation as ‘primary hardwood’. Twenty years monthly observations were made this at Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM), Pasoh Reserve (Pasoh FR), Ulu Gombak (Ulu FR) and Ampang (Ampang FR). The data indicates that there is probability (> 95%) an onset flowering following end dry period. Flowering occurs in most (either annually or biannually). event can either peaks during March-May maybe followed by second peak Sept.-Nov. all four plots. Based percentage each month flowers, it be concluded patterns predicted for least three forest areas. some dipterocarp do not show ‘masting’ such very useful reforestation programs.
