摘要: Pumping test is done to determine the performance and efficiency of a well also characterize parameterize hydraulic properties an aquifer. Twelve (12) drilled boreholes constructed within Boki Local Government Area were subjected number pumping tests: Step drawdown, Constant discharge Recovery tests provide estimation parameters study area. The Cooper Jacob’s Straight-line Equation was used analyze results drawdown with respect time. This method chosen because it built upon most simplified assumptions. aquifer estimated from by fitting mathematical models (type curves) response data (water level changes) through computer software known as AQUIFER TEST. result obtained shows that; Transmissivity ranges 6.67 x 10-4m2/day 2.50m2/day average 2.15 10-1 m2/day. conductivity 5.13 10-5m/day 1.67 x10-1m/day 1.59 10-2 m/day. borehole yield ( specific recharge) 1.30 l/s 1.97 l/s. 1.50 while range 8.02 10-4 m2/day 11.157 1.387m2/day. static water 5.1m 14.1m. depth 22m 54m. saturated thickness 13.8m 42.3m. litho-logs confirms that semi confined highly weathered fairly migmatite fractured basement aquifers (Aquitard). In comparison, Five (or 41.7% wells) had 1.5 above seven 58.3% lower 1.3 Boreholes higher have shallow located on high topography region Because general low transmissivity values in area we recommend all should be installed at least three meters (3m) depth. Also mean value 1.0 indicate wells can sustained motorized pump over hand-pump produce more than 120 m3/day groundwater.
