摘要: Field measurements of drainage ditch sedimentation and suspended sediment transport were used to construct a simple budget relate seasonal variations in vegetation the hydrological characteristics storms dynamics small agricultural watershed North Carolina. Results indicate that crop coverage ditches influence delivery. Following harvesting crops mowing late autumn, conditions are favorable soil erosion through early spring. Storms need not be very intense or produce large rainfall totals significant loads. The maturation field spring produces less conducive both transport. Intense summer thunderstorms, however, capable mobilizing transporting amounts sediment. computed yield 0.1 Mg/ha/yr probably represents low estimate that, nevertheless, is an order magnitude than measured storage more two orders regional estimates loss on Coastal Plain croplands. results show headwater may decoupled from slopes so much eroded stored within watersheds rather being transported out basin.
